The Pennine Way footpath is only minutes from the door
and offers superb walks over the moors. A pleasant hike
northwards along the Pennine Way over Stanbury Moor
takes you past Top Withen ("Wuthering Heights" in Emily
Brontes Novel) and on to Howarth Village, home of
the Bronte family and the Worth Valley steam railway.
Hebden Bridge is the nearest town with shops, a post office,
banks, railway station and garages. Further details can be
